PTInterlinear is a standalone Python program that allows someone to quickly search for a particular word or gloss in the interlinear data for a Paratext project and see all the occurrences. The tool is useful in being able to quickly see the different ways that a given word has been glossed or to quickly find misspellings or translation variations.

Download the PTInterlinear.zip file from here. If your browser shows a message that the file can't be downloaded securely because it is a zip file then you may need to click the hamburger menu (three dots) and select "Keep" and then press the "Keep anyway" button.
Unzip the file as a folder and double-click the PTInterlinear.exe file in this folder to run the program. PTInterlinear should open and present a list of projects to choose from in the "Project Code" field. If your "My Paratext Projects" folder is not in the default location then you may need to press the "Folder" button and navigate to the folder. Select the project code and then choose the gloss language if there are more than one. The font to be used should default to the one declared in the project but you may also change the font and text size here. Choose the range for the search, which can be the whole Bible, the New Testament, the Old Testament or a single book.
Now the interlinear project should be loaded and you can begin to do searches. Type a word or phrase in the Word field or a gloss in the Gloss field and the Enter key or press either the "Lookup Word" or "Lookup Gloss" button. You will notice that you are shown a look-ahead list of used words or phrases as you type. When you press the Enter key you will be shown a list of associated words or glosses and their number of occurrences, followed by the individual occurrences in the Results window.
Note that in favour of fast searches, the interlinear data is only read when you start up the program or change the project, gloss language or range. If the interlinear data in Paratext has changed then the "Reload" button will re-read the files.
You can quickly search through a given occurrence by selecting the unique ID (within double quotes) and typing Ctrl F. Pressing the F3 key searches ahead to the next occurrence and Ctrl F3 searches backwards.

I trust that the program works well for you. If you encounter any problems or have any suggestions, please send feedback to lksoftwaredesign@gmail.com
